Amy Lawrence

Amy Lawrence (Leonora Braham) is a light lyric soprano with a voice that “peals out tireless top notes” (Boston Globe). At the age of 13 she was singing on the LA Opera stage in Picker’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. At age 18 she was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts finalist. Most recently she charmed audiences with her hilarious characterization of Luiga in Viva la Mamma! with Pacific Opera Project. Amy made her European debut in Viterbo, Italy at the Tuscia Opera Festival where she performed Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte and Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica. Other notable roles include Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Amor in L’incoronazione di Poppea, Queen Tye in Akhnaten and Eternita in La Calisto. As well as a talented singer, Amy is also an accomplished dancer, choreographer and full time ballroom dance teacher. Within the past year she has choreographed and danced in The Merry Widow and Carmen for the Pacific Opera Project.
