Benito Galindo

Benito Galindo has appeared as a principal soloist in both opera and concert with numerous companies, including Long Beach Opera, Opera Pacific, Opera San Luis Obispo, Opera Idaho, Teatro del Estado in Mexico, as well as major performing arts centers in Tampa, Escondido, Fort Collins, Corpus Christi and the Lied Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.Recent oratorio performances include soloist assignments in the Durufle Requiem with the San Francisco Choral Society as well as both Carmina Burana and the Beethoven 9th Symphony with the San Luis Obispo Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Galindo’s current season includes zarzuela concerts with both the LA Opera Zarzuela Project and Guild Opera Company as well as the role of Grand Counselor in the US premiere of the Japanese opera Princess of the Moon, a co-production with the Tokyo National Opera. Benito has been a member of Opera a la Carte since 2004 and Hail Poetry marks his second production at SOKA.
