American singer Nandani Maria Sinha is a lyric coloratura mezzo-soprano of German and Indian decent. She performs locally with such organizations as the Los Angeles Opera, Long Beach Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Malibu Coast Chamber Opera, Viklarbo Chamber Ensemble, Westwood Master Choir, Malibu Friends of Music, the Kairos Musical Soirees, SPaCE Salon Los Angeles, Malibu Performing Arts Society, Redlands Symphony, among many others. A recipient of many prestigious vocal awards, Ms. Sinha was the first-prize winner in the 2012 Franz Liszt International Competition; and in 2014 earned two additional International Prizes from the same organization, including a special award for “Best Vocal Interpretation of a Work by Franz Liszt.” Ms. Sinha premiered a newly discovered work by Franz Liszt, performing this beautiful composition again at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. She has performed internationally throughout Europe and South Africa. She was a 2013 & 2014 Marc and Eva Stern Fellow at “Songfest” where she worked closely with William Bolcom, John Musto, Jake Heggie, Libby Larsen, Susan Mentzer, Margo Garrett and Martin Katz. Ms. Sinha’s 2016 engagements include Opera Santa Barbara’s production of Suor Angelica as La maestra delle novizie and Suzuki in Madama Butterfuly with the Marina del Rey Summer Symphony and Redlands Bowl.
